Deepali Bhattacharya has spent more than three decades listening to people's stories—not only through research, but in villages, classrooms, communities, institutions and homes across India. Working in gender, child rights, livelihoods, sanitation, public health and social development has taught her that behind every statistic is a human story waiting to be heard.
